Kazlu-Ruda

a city (since 1950) in Kapsukas Raion, Lithuanian SSR. Kazlu-Rūda has a station on the Kaunas-Cher-niakhovsk railroad line, 36 km southwest of Kaunas. A branch line 102 km long goes from Kazlu-Ruda to the city of Alitus. There is a mechanical repair plant, a wood-products industry, and a logging and timber distribution establishment in the city.
