Irtyshsk

an urban-type settlement, and center of Irtyshsk Raion, Pavlodar Oblast, Kazakh SSR. It has a landing on the left bank of the Irtysh, 175 km northwest of Pavlodar. Population, 11,000 (1970). It is the site of a dairy plant, brewery, furniture factory, building materials and structural components combine, and a grain elevator.
