Gurians

(also Guruli), Georgians living in western Georgia, on the territory of the historical region of Guria (in what is now Makharadze, Chokhatauri, and Lanchkhuti raions of the Georgian SSR). They speak Georgian. Gurians who are believers are Christians. In the past the Gurians were distinguished by the unique features of their culture and way of life.
