Hung Ho
Hung Ho
a river in China, a left tributary of the Huai Ho. The Hung Ho is 443 km long and drains an area of 12,500 sq km. It flows across the southern part of the North China Plain. The river is fed by rain and is subject to freshets during the summer. The mean flow rate is approximately 100 cu m per sec; the maximum flow rate is more than 1,200 cu m per sec. The river is used for irrigation. The city of Hsint’ai is located on the Hung Ho.
