Having wit or wits (of a specified quality or amount): with qualifying adverb, as well-witted adj., etc. (obsolete), or in parasynthetic combinations with an adjective, as dull-witted, fine-witted, half-witted, gross-witted, light-witted, quick-witted, sharp-witted, slow-witted, etc.; also in nonce-formations after half-witted adj., as two-third-witted, whole-witted.†Also (in form witti'd, influenced by witty adj.) in combination wealth-witti'd (? whose wits consist in wealth).
