Compare classical Latin aestifer that causes heat, (of a constellation) that brings hot weather, (of places) hot, sultry.Compare the following earlier isolated borrowing of classical Latin aestifer:1656 T. Blount Glossographia Estiferous, that brings or endures heat.

Resembling the tide; turbulent.
