Compare sustentacle n.In plural form sustentacula after the Latin plural form.

A supporting part or structure; esp. the sustentaculum tali (see Compounds); Zoology a short spine present on each tarsus of the fourth pair of legs in many orb-weaving spiders (family Araneidae).
