1954 Sun (Baltimore) 27 May 2/7 Biologists of the Ontario Department of Lands and Forests have completed the first step of an experiment in producing a new variety of game fish. The ‘splake’ has resulted. It is a hybrid, the result of crossing speckled and lake trout.
