Etymology: < French skiascopie (Chibret 1886, in Arch. d'ophthalmol. 6 147) < ancient Greek σκιά shadow (see scio- comb. form) + French -scopie -scopy comb. form.In forms in scio- , skio- after words in scio- comb. form.
