Etymology: < late Latin sequestrātor, agent-noun < Latin sequestrāre : see sequestrate v.
a. One who sequestrates; a trustee or bailiff having control of property upon which there are claims by creditors. Also, a person named in a writ of sequestration as authorized to collect and administer the income of a sequestrated estate.
