Origin: A borrowing from Thai. Etymon: Thai satāng.
Etymology: < Thai satāng, apparently formed within Thai < Pali sata hundred ( < Sanskrit śatam : see hund n.) + aṅga limb.
A monetary unit of Thailand, introduced in 1897, equivalent to one-hundredth of a baht; a coin of this value.
