释义 | rosellan. 1. Originally: an eastern Australian parrot, Platycercus eximius, which has a red and white head, yellow belly, bluish wings, and greenish tail (later more fully eastern rosella). Later also (usually with distinguishing word): any of several other brightly coloured Australian parrots of the genus Platycercus. Also more fully rosella parakeet, rosella parrot.There are three groups of rosella species, some of which can interbreed, and there are a number of distinctively coloured races.
