bestrewv.

/bɪˈstruː/
Forms: Also bestrow /bɪˈstrəʊ/, and bestraw (obsolete). Past participle bestrewed; bestrewn, bestrown. For the forms see strew n.
Etymology: Old English bi- , bestréowian , < bi-, be- prefix 1 + stréowian to strew v. Compare Middle High German beströuwen, Dutch bestrooijen, Danish beströe, Swedish beströ. Originally a weak verb: the participle bestrewn is recent, and due to analogy.
