Etymology: < ancient Greek ῥυθμο-, combining form (in e.g. ῥυθμοποιία rhythmopoeia n.) of ῥυθμός rhythmus n. + -poetic comb. form, in sense 2 after rhythmopoeia n.
rare.
1. That writes, or is inclined to write, verses. Obsolete.
