Origin: Probably formed within English, by compounding. Etymons: right adj., side n.1; right adj., right adv., side v.1
Etymology: Probably partly < right adj. + side n.1, and partly < either right adj. or right adv. + side v.1
English regional (chiefly East Anglian). Now rare.
1. transitive. Apparently: to render justice or make reparations to (a person). Cf. right v. 13a. Obsolete. rare.

2. transitive. To put right, correct; to make right, set in order. Cf. side v.1 11.The sense of quot. 1736 is uncertain.
