Etymology: < the name of the brothers George (c1758–1823) and Job Ridgway (1759–1814) and their descendants, who produced ceramics of this type from 1792.

A type of pottery or porcelain produced by the Ridgway family (and their successors) in Staffordshire from 1792, esp. transfer-printed dinner and tea services. Chiefly attributive.
