Etymology: < classical Latin remānāt-, past participial stem of remānāre to flow back (Lucretius; < re- re- prefix + mānāre to flow: see manation n.) + -ion suffix1 (compare -ation suffix), after emanation n.
Chiefly Theology (rare).
The flowing back or return of something to the source whence it emanated; an instance of this.
