1. A person who or animal which rambles, in various senses. In later use (chiefly British): a person who walks for pleasure through the countryside, frequently in company and on a specified route.A number of rambling clubs had formed in the U.K. by the late 1880s. The Ramblers' Association was created in 1935 (formerly the National Council of Ramblers' Federations).
