1890 Cent. Dict. Poonay-oil, Poon-oil, a thick dark-green oil of strong scent and bitter taste, derived from the seeds of Calophyllum Inophyllum in India, used in lamps and medicinally.
1946 A. P. Benthall Trees of Calcutta 34 From the seeds is extracted a dark green, thick, and strongly scented oil known as pinnay, pun, domba or dilo oil which is employed in medicine, and for burning.
