Etymology: < classical Latin prōflīgātor person who dissipates his or her fortune, spendthrift, in post-classical Latin also person who oppresses, destroys (6th cent.) < prōflīgāt- , past participial stem of prōflīgāre profligate v. + -or -or suffix.
Obsolete. rare.
