Origin: Formed within English, by derivation. Etymons: pre- prefix, disposed adj.; predispose v., -ed suffix1.
Etymology: Either < pre- prefix + disposed adj., or directly < predispose v. (although this is first attested slightly later) + -ed suffix1. Compare Middle French prédisposé ( 1464 in an apparently isolated attestation: see predispose v.).
