Etymology: < French pensée (1669 in specific use in the title of Pensées de M. Pascal sur la religion, a literary work by Blaise Pascal (1623–62), French mathematician and philosopher: see pensee n.1). Compare earlier pensee n.1Not fully naturalized in English.
