释义 | Peclet numbern. Physics. A dimensionless parameter used in calculations of heat transfer between a moving fluid and a solid body, representing the ratio of the convected to the conducted heat and equal to the product of the Reynolds number and the Prandtl number, viz. Dvcp/k, where D is a characteristic length of the body, v is the speed of the fluid past it, cp is the heat capacity of unit volume of the fluid at constant pressure, and k is its thermal conductivity. McAdams Heat Transmission vii. 173 Equations of this form, expressing hD/k in terms of the Peclet number DGcp/k are used by many German writers such as Nusselt and Grober. 1956 S. Glasstone Princ. Nucl. Reactor Engin. xi. 679 For the correlation of heat-transfer data it is now appropriate to use another dimensionless modulus, namely, the Peclet number, Pe. 1991 Acta Metallurgica et Materialia 39 2932/1 The importance of the convective mass transport process relative to the diffusive mass transport process scales with the magnitude of the Peclet number Pe.
