Etymology: < para- prefix1 + -plastic comb. form. With sense 3, compare German paraplastisch (1896 or earlier).
1. Medicine. Having abnormal properties of growth; neoplastic. Obsolete. rare.Apparently only attested in dictionaries or glossaries.
