Compare earlier oneirocritic n.The form Onirocrites in quot. 1677 is a transliteration of the Greek singular ὀνειροκρίτης. N.E.D. (1902) gives the pronunciation as (onəi^ə·rokrit) /əʊˈnaɪərəʊkrɪt/.
