1882 Bot. Gaz. 7 90 Mr. J. M. Macfarlane, Demonstrator of Botany in the University of Edinburg [sic], finds a new factor in the vegetable cell, which he proposes to call the nucleolo-nucleus. It is a well marked body inside the nucleus, round or slightly oval in outline, and exhibits a clear bounding wall differentiating it from the substance of the nucleolus.
