Origin: A borrowing from Latin, combined with English elements. Etymons: nulli- comb. form, Latin fidēs , -ian suffix.
Etymology: < nulli- comb. form + classical Latin fidēs faith (see faith n. and int.) + -ian suffix; compare -fidian comb. form. Compare post-classical Latin nullifidius infidel (c1620 in a British source).
