Mineralogy.
A trigonal silicate and chloride of calcium and lead, Ca4Pb6(Si2O7)3Cl2, which forms prismatic crystals and occurs as white or grey granular masses.

1935 Prof. Papers U.S. Geol. Surv. No. 180. 93/2 Nasonite commonly forms the matrix of glaucochroite crystals, and in the few specimens seen is also associated with garnet, axinite, and barite.
1985 Mineral. Mag. 49 725 Margarosanite..is one of the two most common lead silicate minerals in this assemblage; the other is nasonite.
