Etymology: < musket n.2 + -ade suffix, after French mousquetade (1587 in Middle French; 1568 as mosquetade). N.E.D. (1908) gives the pronunciation as (mɒskėtēi·d) /mʌskɪˈteɪd/.
Obsolete.
