释义 | money ordern. A printed order for payment of a specified sum, issued by a bank or post office. Frequently attributive (chiefly in money order office). Abbreviated M.O.Formerly in British official use restricted to what was popularly called a post office order, in which the name of the payee did not appear on the order, but was transmitted from the issuing to the paying office in a ‘letter of advice’; thus distinguished from the postal order.
