Etymology: < ancient Greek μονοειδής of one form or kind ( < μονο- mono- comb. form + εἶδος : see eidos n.) + -ic suffix. N.E.D. (1907) gives the pronunciation as (mǫnoˌəi·dik) /mɒnəʊˈaɪdɪk/.
Obsolete. rare.
Having a single form or nature.
