Origin: A borrowing from Latin, combined with an English element; probably modelled on a Latin lexical item. Etymons: Latin minium , -ographer comb. form.
Etymology: < classical Latin minium minium n. + -ographer comb. form, probably after post-classical Latin miniographus (from 12th cent. in British sources; 13th cent. in a continental source).
Obsolete. rare. Apparently only attested in dictionaries or glossaries.
A person who paints with minium.
