Origin: A borrowing from German. Etymon: German Mischling.
Etymology: < German Mischling person with parents of different racial descent (17th cent.) < mischen to mix + -ling -ling suffix1.The plural form Mischlinge is after the German plural form.
A person of mixed race, esp. one of partly Jewish descent.
