单词 minge
释义

mingen.

Brit. /mɪn(d)ʒ/, U.S. /mɪndʒ/
Origin: A borrowing from Angloromani. Etymon: Angloromani minge.
Etymology: < Angloromani minge (also in form mintch) the female genitals (1874 in G. Borrow Romano Lavo-Lil) < Romani mintš (also in forms mizh, minzh) the female genitals; further etymology uncertain.A proposed derivation < classical Latin mingere (see minge v.) has been rejected; similarly Sanskrit mih- to urinate (see mighe v.) and madhya- middle (see mid adj.) seem unlikely origins. Another theory is that the Romani word, probably originally in the non-nasalized form mizh, may be < Avar regional (1814 in forms mis, mīs in J. von Klaproth Kaukasische Sprachen 78). In the nasalized variant Romani minzh has been borrowed into the slang of a number of East European languages, e.g. Russian minža the female genitals.
slang and regional (chiefly British).
The female genitals; pubic hair. Hence allusively: women, regarded collectively as objects of sexual gratification.
