Origin: A borrowing from Greek. Etymon: Greek μιξέλλην.
Etymology: < ancient Greek μιξέλλην < μιξο- mixo- comb. form + Ἕλλην Hellene n. N.E.D. (1907) gives the pronunciation as (mikshelī·n) /mɪkshɛˈliːn/.
Ancient History. Obsolete.
A person of mixed Greek and non-Greek descent.
