Etymology: < migraine n. + -ous suffix. Compare French migraineux , adjective (1890) and noun (1889). Compare also earlier migrainoid adj. N.E.D. (1906) gives only the pronunciation (migrēi·nəs) /mɪˈɡreɪnəs/.
Designating or relating to a migraine; of the nature of or resembling a migraine; caused by or associated with migraine; subject to migraine; apt to cause a migraine.
