释义 | meloplastn. Music. An empty staff used as an aid in teaching staff notation. ΚΠ 1822 Ann. Reg. 1820 (Otridge ed.) ii. Sci. 1365/2 M. Galin..has lately introduced a new instrument for teaching music, called the meloplast. M. Galin's ingenious method consists in making his pupils sing from a stave, without either clefs or notes, according to the movements of a portable rod. 1980 New Grove Dict. Music VII. 100/1 Pupils are introduced to staff notation by means of the ‘méloplaste’, a vacant staff on which notes and intervals are pointed out with a baton.
