1987 Nucl. Physics A. 465 26 It has now become possible to determine the strength of the Majorana force for the first time in a large number of nuclei.
2. Majorana effect n. birefringence to light travelling in a direction at right angles to an applied magnetic field, observed in some liquids and some crystalline materials.
