Origin: A borrowing from Isicamtho. Etymon: Isicamtho kwaito.
Etymology: < Isicamtho kwaito, apparently < Afrikaans kwaai kwaai adj. + -to (in Amakwaito, the name of a township gang).
South African. Music.
A type of South African popular dance music incorporating elements of hip-hop and house music. Cf. kwaai adj. 2.
