Etymology: < Anglo-Norman entrecomuner: see intercommon v., and compare commune v. The earlier stress was apparently ˈcommune, in later examples probably coˈmmune.
Now rare or Obsolete.
1. intransitive. To have mutual communion; to hold discourse or conversation with each other or with another. (Cf. commune v. 1.)
