/ˈhʌksəm/ Huxham's tincture n. (also Huxham's tincture of bark) compound tincture of cinchona bark, first described in Huxham's Essay on Fevers (1750) and formerly used as a bitter tonic and febrifuge; also elliptical as Huxham.
