1891 Jrnl. Chem. Soc. 60 i. 528 For the new borate, Milch proposes the name of hintzeite, after Professor Hintze, of Breslau; whilst Luedecke proposes that of heintzite, after Heintz, the discoverer of pinnoite.
1892 Jrnl. Chem. Soc. 62 ii. 791 The author [sc. O. Luedecke]..admits that the chemical composition of kaliborite and heintzite is practically identical, both containing about the same percentage of boric acid, potash, magnesia, and water. This does not, however, prove them to be the same mineral. Whilst kaliborite occurs in badly-formed, crystalline crusts on the surface of pinnoïte, heintzite, which is found on the inside, forms well-made crystals with shining faces, and is readily cleavable in three directions.

1951 C. Palache et al. Dana's Syst. Mineral. (ed. 7) II. 368 Heintzite (and hintzeite, the two names being proposed simultaneously for the mineral) was later shown to be identical with kaliborite.
