Guyana (formerly British Guiana) or the Guianas (the region comprising Guyana, Suriname, and French Guiana); = Guyanese adj. 1.The form Guyanan is now preferred when referring to Guyana (although much less common than Guyanese), whereas Guianan remains common in other applications.
