Etymology: < Arab adj.1 + spring n.1In sense 1 after Arab, the name of a former brand of bicycle (see Arab cradle spring n. at Arab n.1 and adj.1 Compounds 2b). With sense 2 compare earlier Prague Spring n. at Prague n. 3 and spring n.1 21, and compare also Arabic al-rabīʻ al-ʻarabī.
