1751 Chambers's Cycl. (ed. 7) Generated, or Genited, is used, by some mathematical writers, for whatever is produced, either in arithmetic, by the multiplication, division, or extraction of roots, or in geometry, by the invention of the contents, areas, and sides; or of extreme and mean proportionals, without arithmetical addition, and subtraction.
