Origin: A borrowing from Latin. Etymon: Latin anemographia.
Etymology: < post-classical Latin anemographia (1566) < anemo- anemo- comb. form + -graphia -graphy comb. form.Compare Italian anemografia branch of meteorology concerned with the study and description of the winds (1578 in the Italian version of E. Danti's treatise Anemographia: see anemoscope n.).
