Etymology: Probably partly < face n. + lift v. and partly < facelift n. Compare earlier face-lifter n., face-lifting n.
transitive. To subject to a face-lifting operation or process (see face n.). Chiefly in extended use: to redesign, refurbish (something). Cf. facelift n.
