2003 J. Corish & G. M. Rosenblatt Recommendation for naming Element 110: Draft (IUPAC Provis. Recommendations: Inorg. Chem. Div.) 30 Jan. 1 The discoverers at the Gesellschaft für Schwerionenforschung mbH (GSI) in Darmstadt, Germany, were invited to propose a name and symbol for element 110. The discoverers propose the name darmstadtium and the symbol Ds.
2004 Chem. Comm. 17 1982/1 DsC and DsCO are calculated to be very similar to PtC and PtCO, suggesting that even the latest 6d elements resemble the corresponding 5d elements chemically.
2010 J. S. Thayer in M. Barysz & Y. Ishikawa Relativistic Methods for Chemists ii. 82 Calculations indicate that DsF6 would have an Oh symmetry.
