Origin: A borrowing from French. Etymon: French doucine.
Etymology: < French doucine (a1537 in Middle French as doulcine ) < douce , feminine of doux sweet (see douce adj.) + -ine -ine suffix1.
Architecture. Now rare.
An ornamental moulding consisting of a continuous double curve, S-shaped in cross-section, with the upper part concave and the lower part convex.
