2005 J. Mestecky et al. in Mucosal Immunol. (ed. 3) p. xxxix/2 Louis, the great Parisian clinician.., had originally described a triad that involved enlargement of Peyer's patches, mesenteric glands, and spleen in what was at that time termed dothinenteritis or typhoid fever.
